This week’s blog is simply to let you all know about the exciting opportunity that has come my way.
As some of you may know, I am a huge ‘footie’ fan, so when the opportunity arose for me to sponsor
a professional footballer and one who plays for Birmingham City Football Club I jumped at the
chance.
So, it with great pleasure that I introduce you all to Marcel Oakley whom I have the greatest honour
and pleasure of being his Sponsor for the 21/22 season and I am so very grateful to Birmingham City
Football Club for giving me this opportunity.
As many of you probably don’t know, being an author isn’t just about writing novels, it’s also
about marketing and promoting yourself and building relations with people and acquaintances who
may cross your path, fortunately for me this is something I am particularly good at, as I like to say ‘I
always make a friend where ever I go!'
These last few months have been very busy, with the release of Ring of Hope (sequel to
The Older Woman) working on new material, sponsoring the awards for The Hinton Magazine and
most importantly marketing, this has been at the forefront of everything I do and I can tell you this -
‘it’s a lot harder than just writing a book’ but it’s worth it as I get to meet some amazing people,
honestly, I really do have the best job in the world.
